Facts are stubborn things and don't change just because we will them to do so. The assertion here is not that whites are superior to blacks but that on average, whites are smarter than blacks just as on average blacks are better runners than whites. All because of accidents of birth, in the same way that Great Danes are bigger than German Shepherds, but German Shepherds are smarter than Great Danes. On average, that is. From a practical standpoint, a black guy with a higher IQ than a white guy doesn't become dumber just because of the statistical average. It's just that when you pick out some random black guy, as well as some random white guy - the first is likely to be more athletic whereas the second is likely to have superior raw intelligence.
It's no different from how among whites, Jews punch way above their weight. The current research is pointing to a high degree of genetic determinism - to the point that DNA hard wiring is not only responsible for intelligence - it also sets out persistence, diligence, risk-taking tendencies, and so on, pretty much at conception. There are a lot of unknowns out there. Unfortunately, political correctness at home is squashing a lot of the funding for domestic research.
I once visited an old friend of mine, long ago departed, to help me with a Calculus problem. I had looked at this problem from every possible angle and had found no solution for it. As soon as I showed him the math problem he gave me a quick almost dismissive answer. I didn't get what he said and asked him to elaborate. He came back and said the text book author was sort of playing a trick and explained the solution at greater length. Still not understanding, I needed a clearer answer. He took out a paper and practically diagrammed the problem for me showing the effect of splitting the derivative and solving the whole thing in detail.
When he was done, the answer was so obvious, I struggled to remember what it was I had found so difficult.
This friend happened to live in poverty and yet must have been the most intelligent individual I have personally known.
If I don't give great importance to the results of I.Q. tests, please try to understand my experience.
