When impeachable crimes are committed, the true statesman should step up, and every member of the legislature should formally be put on record as to where he or she stands.
Impeachment is by its nature a political process, not a legal one. It must proceed on principle if the political will exists, and the President will not resign for the good of the country.
I would agree, if I could name a statesman in the Congress.
If impeachment is called for, well sure, go ahead, but it will not accomplish anything except garner sympathy for the president and drive the limp-wristed, like Lindsey Graham, to a more cowardly position. Hasn’t hurt him much.
