The Mail is one of those great rarities, a right-leaning newspaper. They are quite vociferous in their criticism of the BBC.
Actually, newspapers in Europe are more diverse than in the US, where there are no major newspapers which are not left-wing. In the UK, there is also the Telegraph, which is a major, respected newspaper which is right of center. France and Spain have right-of-center papers, too.
