Orthodox Jews (who are the minority) do exactly that, meaning condemn the liberalism; the liberal Jews do not listen and actually revile the orthodox types, even vilifying many as “ultra-orthodox” (just like the secular liberals here set up their “religious right” strawman).

It’s the exact reverse of what happens in Islam, where the liberals are the minority and the majority listen to radical imams. No comparison there.

Only 11 percent of US Jews (and 15 percent of Israeli Jews) identify themselves as orthodox these days, besides.

True, but assimilation, birthrates, and aggressive outreach by stricter Jewish groups all mean a change is coming sooner rather than later.

The future of Judaism likely belongs to either the Modern Orthodox or the Hasidim, with a larger community of Jewish people who are partially observant and affirm Scriptural standards of what it means to be Jewish even if they do not necessarily follow those standards.

The sooner that liberal Jews stop calling themselves Jews, the better things will be. Liberal Jews are giving their faith a very bad name, and have been doing so far too long.
