Yup, those two firearms violates every single definition of an Assault Weapon in the new Connecticut law.

You’re missing the exemption.
Seems those restrictions don’t apply to rim fire guns.

The fact that it fires .22LR currently negates all problems with the other features, which apply only to centerfire cartridges, not rimfire. Look for the gun-haters to remedy this 'loophole/problem'.

Smith & Wesson has been selling their version (the M&P 15-22) since long before Newtown.
