As CBS 2’s Dave Carlin reported, Jack Pawlowski was led out of his Queens home in handcuffs Wednesday, with his stunned wife and three young kids looking on. He said nothing as detectives put him into a squad car.

Pawlowski told CBS 2 he took a toy gun, and two of his kids, around the corner to Ditmars Park. It was around noon and packed with kids and their parents.

Another mom who was on a playground at the park at the time said she walked up to Pawlowski, and told him to take the toy gun and his kids and leave.
“I don’t tend to take things lying down, so I went past the parents, and so I walked straight over and I confronted him,” said Leni Calas. “I mean, he’s brandishing a firearm and I don’t care if that firearm is plastic. That’s unacceptable.”

He remained in custody Wednesday evening, on charges of reckless endangerment, endangering the welfare of a minor, resisting arrest, and possession of an illegal BB gun.

I wouldn't allow my daughter to ride a round a park and be obnoxious. But I think you are missing the point here. The toy was not a BB gun, at least not what most people would consider a BB gun. A real BB gun can kill small animals like rabbits and ground hogs (which I do in my yard, since I do not want to discharge a rifle). If you snap your fingers next to your cheek you will get the idea of what it feels like to be hit a plastic pellet from one of these toy guns.

This is the wrong case for us to defend our Second Amendment rights.
The realistic looking bb gun in question has been illegal in New York for decades.
Plus he was incredibly unsafe. He took it to a crowded New York City park and fired it with lots of children present. He let his family shoot it, even his 3 year old son. He then gave it to his daughter who pointed it at 2 year old children as she rode around on her bike.

IMO ... the time for all talk and no action has long past. The "boxes" that we have to change things have been mostly nullified ... activist judges, rigged elections. Short of shooting ... something of REAL consequence needs to start happening to people who engage in the wussification, and communist indoctrination of the citizenry. Suing the system is NOT the answer as it only enriches the lawyers and the settlements are paid out of the taxpayers pockets.
The founders would have revolted against todays gubmint a long time ago ... in fact they would probably be pretty revolted by what the country has become and would also probably wonder if their sacrifice was worth it. We as a nation should hang our heads in shame.
