He’s reaping what he sowed. There’s lots of Christian pro athletes, but they don’t make a show of it.

It's a tough world out there, especially in the Internet age, where any comment you make can be instantly made available to millions of people. If you take a stand on anything, approx 50% will praise you for it and the other 50% will hate you for it and try to destroy you.
We must all develop extremely thick skins if we are to survive in this new digital world of instant communication.

His ‘show’ built a hospital in the Philipines... was that worth it?

(Please tell me how the words "shall not perish and have everlasting life" would NOT apply to Mary.)

I believe that if you don’t deny the Lord when it would be convenient to do so,or in your words “make a show of it” that you do indeed “reap what you sow.”
No doubt this young man will reap what the Lord has in mind for his life and soul. It will be greater than anything the NFL has to offer.

Why should he apologize for his faith and keep it quiet? Do hide the one thing that makes you glorious?

But why shouldn’t he showy with it ?
I’m not a Christian (I’m Jewish), but I find Tebow’s expressions of faith absolutely inspiring. He knows he’s going to get hammered by the atheists in our “media”, but he preaches the Word without hesitation.
If Tebow never plays another down in the NFL, he’ll go down as one of my all-time favorite players
