This is enough to bring scorn and derision upon the NFL. It used to be that athletes were God-fearing men who prayed at mid-field and thanked God after the game. Now it’s all about how much money they bring home, how much they’ll be fined for swearing at a ref, and lucrative commercial endorsements.

Post game prayers are very common in NFL games. It’s just not part of the TV broadcast.
