A schoolgirl was told off by police for drawing a hopscotch grid on the pavement, according to her father.
Officers even warned the 10-year-old she might have committed criminal damage as she played the traditional game outside her house in Ramsgate, Kent.
The angry father has lodged a complaint with Kent Police about their heavy-handed behavior.
Authorities are now investigating the incident, and admit that the officers may have gone too far when they accused Lilly of committing a crime.

In all fairness, she’s clearly a dangerous criminal.
It took TWO bobbies to intimidate her.
There used to be something called common sense. Back when I was a kid.
I noted that his work and your photos both were of scenes devoid of people.
That struck me as odd.
At least he was said to like dogs and children, I doubt anyone on this thread would accuse you of that.
I like the sense of quiet order in those paintings - no nasty kinder!
“It took TWO bobbies to intimidate her.”
Well they aren’t armed ya know. There’s no telling how she could have reacted.
It died about the same time as common courtesy.
I guess the lemonade stand is out.
First hopscotch. Now you’re suggesting a lemonade stand? I guess you want her to descend into a life of crime! Shame on you!
Just tell the authorities it is an “Undocumented Business” that is ran by an “Undocumented Human” and they will overlook it..
Precisely!
I couldn't find his "Ideal City" painting with the brief search I did.
Ello, ello, ello!
For a sec I thought you were a British Mark Levin :P
We finally had a nice few days of weather last week. The kids were out in force. Riding their bikes on the sidewalks(!), going the wrong way(!) on the cul-de-sac, and EVEN so brazen as to draw on the street with chalk!
One of the hooligans had even drawn a long set of arrows that I came across on the way to the mailbox. On the way back I followed them. I was hoping for a pot of gold at the end, or a pile of pinecones. Instead it was just a stupid “HERE” in front of his house. Well - at least I know who the perp is.
What, England doesn't get rain?

Didja call the SWAT team?
SWAT? You mean a Special Water and Towels team?

See thats proof, that wasn’t just a silly set of arrows. It was part of a grand scheme to assassinate whoever was brazen enough to follow all those arrows and attempt to steal his gold. Chalk must be banned.
I wouldn't want that crap in front of my house, on my street making the neighborhood
look like a trash bin. Would it not be ok if those were gang symbols on the sidewalk?
I still don't know why instead of using the girl as a posting Shield against
rebuttal, someone would explain why making a neighborhood look like trash is ok.
Nothing wrong with using their own sidewalk, in their yard, on their property.
But no, that little precious must have the right to place her scribbles
on public streets in front of everyone to forcefully appreciate. No thanks.
All of you have it wrong.
“Special” Wowsers And Texans...
Yes everyone in the world except you and those two cops has it wrong.
yep
sure thing
absooooluutely
“All of you have it wrong.”
I’m beginning to think that you have a point. Public spaces should be as free from signs and markers of human life as possible. Love of uniformity and the aesthetic appreciation of “mass as such” mark the refined tastes of responsible citizens.
This sounds less boring in the original German.
