And all these years I thought I was born in this country. Silly me. And no, Native-Americans are not the "first" Americans. They eradicated (can you say genocide?) the first Americans.

And how did their open borders policy work out for them?

“Unless you’re a Native American”??? What — do they think the Indians spontaneously generated from dust? Either being born here is enough to render one a ‘Native American’ or NO ONE is.

I was born in 1 of these 50 United States. But I can see how to a foreigner who was born in say “Kenya” that might be confusing.

Actually, my family fought to create this country.

I hate that PC term.
If “American” means of the USA, those peoples are NOT “NA” due to ethnicity or even being in this region. The USA did not exist when their tribes were running about.
As well, what do they call these peoples not in the USA, or North America, or south of the USA?
They are aboriginal, or indigenous. Too bad if that offends.

I'm sitting less than 10 meters from where I was born. I figure I'm within 100 meters of where I'll die.
Wounded Knee won't happen again.

My family fought against the Feds in the Whiskey Rebellion.
The tax was repealed a few years later.

Irrelevant nonsense. Everyone came from somewhere else. I doubt there is one group living on this earth that still lives in the general area where their first human ancestors lived.
And if one subscribes to the PC out-of-Africa theory, then all groups began in Africa, including the so-called Native Americans.
It’s a world of immigrants.

Critical difference - my ancestors came here through great danger and privation - they built this Nation - never got a dime of governmental assistance.
Now, after a half-century of hard work, gainful employment and paying taxes, I'm supposed to welcome this generation of illegals, who contribute nothing to our tax base, take entry level jobs from American citizens, and strain our "social services" (which we shouldn't even have to begin with - but that's another issue) far beyond the the capacity of our wage-earning workforce to pay.

Liberals have a difficult time with the word “legally”. Yes my ancestors immigrated to America from Europe, but they did so legally — unlike the lot of illegal immigrants that Liberals (and their Republican cohorts) now seek to give amnesty.
Perhaps this is why the Liberals who work for the Associated Press refuse to use the correct term “illegal immigrant”.

Who would know better about being a non native American than a non native whatever it is?
