For starters, the utter abuse and misuse of SOF troops. Our pussified generals and civilian leaders have a fantasy that a few specialists can enter an area and kill the bad guys doing no harm whatsoever to the area they live in, or their communities.
The platoon on the CH-47 that was shot down was a monument to the low quality of our officers at the command level. The force that went out was too small and weak, and needed rescue from a react force. The react force was a seal platoon. Seals are fine, but large group actions are not their thing.
A force of Rangers or Marines, properly supported with araty and gunships was what was called for.
The fantasy that a few specialists can take the place of conventional forces is murdering them.
Hope they’re ready to be called racists, but also that they get this story out and develops legs.

Shouldn’t they have been sent on an MH-47 instead of commercial grade chopper?
You wouldn’t pack a SEAL platoon into an Amtrack and use them to storm a defensive position. But the nationbuilders and COIN boys are sure that SOF forces can do anything, anywhere, and can always easily substitute for conventional ground forces.
It simply isnt true.

Recall Hitlery "ordered" military attaché's to the White House to serve drinks at the Clintoon's receptions.
Thank God, they balked at it.
Recall at the end of WW1, officers were ordering charges and assults knowing the war was to be declared over in hours. Thousands lost. All to bump up their prestige as battle commanders.

And whatever happened to “don’t bunch up!” Nowadays we shoo platoonloads of extremely highly trained men, some of our very finest, into one giant helo?
We shoulda thought of this on Omaha beach, or Iwo Jima. Instead of all those smaller landing craft, we coulda just built a company sized one and packed 200 men in it for that run to the beach.
PS,, and although im speaking of incompetence, Obama would love to see SEALs wiped out. He hates them for Mersk Alabama and shooting the pirate. (and also for reminding everyone by their very existence that he’s a metrosexual wuss)
