If every person who feared for his/her job decided to support gay marriage, then that person would be instantly protected from dismissal?

Dayton, you were elected to destroy Minnesota’s business base... How about you stay in your lane and the Vikings will refrain from demanding higher taxes.

I'm quite sure the Vikings benefit from tax dollars stolen from the Minnesota taxpayers.
Guess that opens them up to discrimination charge since they are now a government agency. (semi sarcasm)

I guess the time is right for changing the name of the league from the NFL to the NPCFL. If Bronko Nagurski was alive today, he’d be spinning in his grave.

Well, yes it makes for a nice cover. Just like saying you are an alcoholic and need treatment is a good way to buy six months or so.

He’s a middle of the road punter. They can pick up four tomorrow fresh out of college that are just as good and cost a fraction of his veteran salary.
On a (maybe) related not the Ravens released their second string player who was blabbing about gay marriage before the Super Bowl.
Coincidence?

The Vikings had a steady veteran place kicker in Ryan Longwell but drafted Blair Walsh from Georgia. Strange move to some. Walsh had a phenomenal season and made the Pro Bowl as a rookie. Who knows, maybe the drafted punter from UCLA can duplicate or mimic the kicker in terms of instant success.

Professional sports is an entertainment industry.
If someone doesn’t entertain well, they harm the business.
That’s why they have all sorts of language in their contracts about not trashing the sport, doing good for the community, pledging allegiance to the NFL, etc.
So it’s not only about your athletic ability.
Kinda like being a reporter for a large news network...
