It’s pretty sad actually that only one member of Congress has his head screwed on straight.

The weak point in his plan is the Judiciary.

Sen. Cruz gets it!
I hope his love for our country convinces others in D.C. to join him.

Giving illegal aliens welfare already violates a number of federal laws including those about giving aid to illegals.
Any new law would be ignored just the same.

Yes. Very very sad for the future of our country.

I liked the proposal that they could never acquire citizenship...meaning they cannot vote. THAT would make this whole thing FAIR!

This should be no problem. Rubio has assured us there will be no welfare for anyone legalized under his bill anyway.

Yup. You can bet your bottom dollar that as soon as they’re granted “legal status” with or without citizenship, then they’ll get all bennies and rights, including voting. The demoncrats (and McCain, et al) will demand it and the courts will push it through. Rubio is an idiot and traitor for crossing the aisle with this nation wrecking crap!

The concern I have with this stipulation is does it pave a path for Cruz to vote ‘yay’. If so, it would be a bad thing, as it potentially helps pass a bill that still has other unacceptable parts (ie, impenetrable southern border, anchor babies, etc). OTOH, if a “poison amendment” is found to kill the bill, that would be a good thing...
