A 93-year-old man who was deported from the U.S. for lying about his Nazi past was arrested by German authorities Monday on allegations he served as an Auschwitz death camp guard, Stuttgart prosecutors said.
Hans Lipschis was taken into custody after authorities concluded there was "compelling evidence" he was involved in crimes at Auschwitz while there from 1941 to 1945, prosecutor Claudia Krauth said.
Lipschis has acknowledged being assigned to an SS guard unit at Auschwitz but maintains he only served as a cook and was not involved in any war crimes.

Head meet vice.
Just a cook? Is that what he calls it? Glad there is no statute limitations on murder.
He should claim to be a Muslim. The authorities will let him go and apologize.
Gay Muslim and he walks with a pension.
It happened a long time ago!
Am I missing something? Don’t we have people in office that break the law every day? The law applies to us not to them.
When reason fails....
Some cook - he never wondered about the lack of repeat customers???
Interesting how the Nazis always staffed these camps with 13,000 cooks and no guards.
Liberal dogma holds that the purpose of imprisonment is to rehabilitate the criminal.
Demjanjuk and this guy apparently led more or less blameless lives for decades after their WWII service. So it is not unreasonable to assume they had rehabilitated themselves.
The only group of criminals in the world that the left doesn’t feel compassion for are Nazis, so we go through the farce of trying lower and lower level and older and older “Nazi criminals.”
I suspect this is similar in motivation to the multiple hoax hate crimes we see. If your worldview is based on thinking or yourself as facing off bravely against evil, then you have to find some evil to face off against. Even if you have to invent it, or it’s a 93 year old ex-cook.
Meanwhile, with possible exception of some Khmer Rouge, none of the commies guilty of murdering at least 8x as many innocents as the Nazis are being put on trial.
Without further details the article says little, for example:
Auschwitz concentration camp was a *network* of concentration and extermination camps built and operated by the Third Reich in Polish areas annexed by Nazi Germany. It consisted of Auschwitz I (the Stammlager or base camp); Auschwitz IIBirkenau (the Vernichtungslager or extermination camp); Auschwitz IIIMonowitz, also known as BunaMonowitz (a labor camp); and 45 satellite camps.
Here is a map of the three Auschwitz main camps. The total area of the main combined central camps (not the satellite camps) is about 15 square miles.

There were over 7,000 General SS who served there over the 5 years they were in operation.
The camp commander of Auschwitz, as well as the senior camp officers and non-commissioned officers, were all members of the SS-Totenkopfverbande, or the SS-TV.
Administrative and supply SS personnel were assigned mostly to the camp headquarters at the Auschwitz I camp. Such personnel, many of whom were Waffen-SS members but not members of the SS-TV camp service, were usually “out of the way” of the more horrific activities of the camp.
OK.....
So, if this guy was a guard in a death camp - and they can prove it - what are they going to do to him?
Put him in a maximum-security nursing home?
Nazi hunters.... give it a rest already.
Yes, and Auschwitz death camps were a long time ago.
But seriously, at 93, what are they going to do to him now?
Hanging his ass is too good for him if he is guilty.
How many guards from Stalin’s death camps have been tried? Zero.
Yep. "All I did was run the ovens..."
Wish these people would put as much research into the Obastard administration as they put into this.
How many jap’s that had Americans in their or vietnam were ever tried?
I agree with you 100%. If guilty, help him up the steps and let him hang.
For all those who think we should just leave him and others like him alone; how many others didn’t get a chance to live another 65 years because of his actions?
