These people just don't learn.

How ‘bout ya just produce more energy?
I can’t foresee any complications ever arising from this power grab (unintended pun, actually). What could possibly go wrong?!
Yeah, destroy all of your nuclear plants and replace them with windmills. REALLY SMART THINKING.
Once LENR comes into its own, the power grid will be a source of storage for offsite generation.
And the NHS can pick up the load for the increase in food poisoning cases because people are eating spoiled food. It’s a twofer!
We signed up to allow the power company here to close us down on bad days at the Legion Post.
We were having a party at the Post at 3 in the evening with if 95 outside when they shut off the power to the air conditioning.
Needless to say that won’t happen again.
By the way we lost the compressors in two of our air conditioners last year, Probably when they shut down the power coming in.
“They are pushing for the move because green energy sources such as wind farms are less predictable than traditional power stations, increasing the risk of blackouts.”
Some advancements, huh? Figure out ways to remotely shut down individual equipment. How about putting the effort into delivering power reliably?
We should be able to wipe out millions of them that way.
And create a Black Market for older Appliances.
Yeah who cares about wasted/spoiled food. we have green energy to support!
One of the enviromental groups was pushing for government controlled thermostats.
Spend Billions saving millions, but most will just plug their fridge in another socket...
Not enough electricity to go around because of all the immigrants they’re letting in.
I just had the “energy saver” switch removed from my air conditioner unit. The switch gave my electric utility the ability to shut down my air conditioner’s condenser during peak load times in exchange for a paltry $2 per month credit on my bill. The switch was already on the air conditioner when I bought the house and was reinstalled when I replaced my air conditioner as my contractor said they could not remove it. This spring a new switch was installed without my written authorization or any advance notice. I filed a complaint with my state PUC and had the switch removed when my air conditioner condenser was disabled when I first tried it on an 86 degree day. My electric utility assured me the new switch would only be used during peak times, but when Obama already told us that we cannot be in control of our thermostats, I do not want anyone having the means to shut down my system without my authorization.
Cluster.
Or better yet, embrace capitalism and then you don’t have to share your food with bacteria.
