We’ve got rain this morning from Chico, CA to Sacramento. At least, it was a wet drive from Chico.

A storm dumped less than a tenth of an inch of rain to around a quarter-inch That qualifies as a "storm" in Southern California.

And from the GOES satellite image looks like Norther California is getting more ...than is Southern California.

I think we were closer to the 1/4 inch mark if not more. It was coming down pretty good for quite a few minutes...raining and blowing....

No rain in Wino Country.
It looked like it might this morning, and now we have this enormous blue hole around us as far as we can see.
In fact, we will be heading out for our daily walk.

So. Cal. can use the rain. I hope it helps extinguish the fires.

We walked at the mall today, due to showers. This is a lovely spring rain.

I was hoping that I’d be reading stories about Malibu scumbags like Streisand,Penn and Micheal Moore weeping in front of their burned-to-the-ground mansions.Looks like I can kiss *that* dream goodbye.

Attention Californians...Kansas City got something like a foot of snow a few days ago. They would have preferred to have gotten 1/10th of an inch of rain.

In May,....
Geez,...I don't remember that happening when I lived there....
Must be that Global Warming elsewhere that caused it to chill down there.

“We walked at the mall today, due to showers. This is a lovely spring rain.”
Our big blue hole in the sky is now covered.
We did our street walk, and the humidity is up.
It would be nice to get some rain.

A quarter inch of rain? Puh-leeze...
We had a Nor-Easter in NE Florida last weekend and had up to 15” of rain over a 2-3 day period.
Now, THAT’S rain.

I haven’t read the article yet, but any rain in CA is a good thing right now because they were predicting a return to drought conditions and renewed water rationing. Remember a few years ago when the the whole inland valley dried up and all the orchards and farm fields died?

Yes, CA desperately needs the rain, as do we in FL. Even with the deluges, we’re still behind average for the year by almost 3”.
Good thing the soil is sandy here - it all goes away amazingly fast.
