Recently, I did a search to find the bass player in my first blues band from 40 years ago. I found him in Oakland CA, and was able to find out on the Internet that he plays acoustic guitar in a little coffee house in SF, is unmarried, last four street addresses, age 61, and has grey hair and a receding hairline. If I was willing to pay 99 cents, I could have gotten his unlisted telephone number.
He has a common name, NO Facebook page and is not on social media.
If I am able to do this with no credentials or resources which are available to the government, why can’t they discern a loudmouth Terrorist with warnings from Russian and Saudi Intel, a Criminal Record of Violence against Women, and a Computer full of Al Qaida Videos?
Just askin’.
Amazing isn’t it? I recently found an old friend that fell out of touch many years ago using the same techniques. I was actually able to piece together her life before I ever called her.
Apparently our government is stupid and inefficient.
Oh yeah.....I had forgotten her married name and tracked her starting with the last married name I could remember.....but a misspelled last name can stop the government in their tracks. snort
They found him, they just ignored him. It’s a matter of training and judgement, the information was there.
