U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., says he believes open purchase orders from the Department of Homeland Security to buy over 1 billion rounds of ammunition are part of an “intentional” effort by the Obama administration to “dry up the market” for gun-owning citizens.
“We have in this country the Second Amendment that preserves the right to keep and bear arms,” Inhofe told radio host Aaron Klein, “and the president doesn’t believe in that.”

Why are so-called conservatives publicly attributing innocuous motives to Obama’s massive bullet purchases? He knows that they are being purchased, and he admits it. On what basis does he assert that they are being purchased only to keep them out of the hands of citizens? He has no basis to say this.
Many of us combine these purchases with the fact that Obama has created weapon storage bins throughout the country, he is conducting drills over American cities,he is purchasing military vehicles suitable for urban warfare in the US, he is using drones to kill Americans and he has implemented executive orders that give him the power to declare martial law. We are not prepared to shrug our shoulders and say that Obama is simply trying to drive up bullet prices.
I think that Inhofe is as toxic as the trolls who come onto Free Republic and try to assuage our concerns and lull us back to sleep.

there are multiple goals going on here. making it more costly to buy ammo is one of them. at the same time he’s buying it to keep it out of our hands.
I believe he is buying it to use against American citizens when either he pushes too far and there is a reaction to his assault on American values and its economy, or else when he authorizes a false flag operation and in response sets his troops against our people.
You and Inhofe can believe that it is simply a matter of economics.
Their stupid strategery will only result as increased capacity to produce.

Very true- Now the manufacturers are much richer and can afford to realyl amp u[p production to flood hte markets- perhaps even lowerign hte price now makign it more affordable to everyone
