He was just too much of a coward to do it. Plus that would have destroyed months of banging the “Al Qaeda is dead” drum.

That's the first "fallback" story; they'll say "ok, you got us, we were too 'afraid' to 'pull the trigger', we were worried about exposing the dangers of al kada that still exits. It's our political blunder, mea culpa, you got us."

Think about that - in order to preserve the illusion that al kada was "beaten"... when an al kada attack happens... the administration leadership decides to actually deny the attack happened ? And, knowing they needed to try to save dozens of staff members - including the Ambassador - they thought they could somehow not send in a response team and therefore be able to deny the attack even happened ? Just dismiss it as a "demonstration" ?

This makes no sense, politicians are not that "street dumb".

Which brings us to the second point - the administration, all the way up to Obama, has no problem executing people, either with drones or sending in kill teams.

They also love to do this and do a nice endzone dance.

So Benghazi is not an opportunity missed, it's an opportunity the Obama administration purposefully, intentionally missed. It's an Ambassador and staff purposely left to fend for themselves during an attack that spanned half a day.

My guess is everyone there,in Benghazi, knew too much. They had to die and zeros terrorists were the perfect storm to do it in.
