Not really ~ first off the permanent bureucracy would exist anyway ~ and it's not as large as you imagine at the federal level. We are speaking mostly of the postal service and the military.

The policy making people are all appointed by the President. When Sarah appoints me to a job I can guarantee her that I'll destroy the coherency of that agency within 6 months ~ then I can return to going blind and thinking about political theory.

BTW, that's no idle boast.

You would have to R&R every person in the party infrastructure NATIONALLY vs putting a new structure together your way from day one. $$$ and time we have little of. You still need to deal with all the side deals/dealers, ‘culture’ etc of what you inherit.

My point is why? Why waste it all and still have the legacy of failure for your efforts? It makes zero sense. If this was a company, there would never be a new management team as no one would buy it to begin with.
MAYBE to sell off the assets, but the GOP has none.
