I’ll have to answer my own question. What we know is that the son is alleged to have threatened with a gun. He denied that he did. That is what we know.

So maybe we should wait to find out what happened.

When I worked at the hospital, one night the cops brought in a young kid in handcuffs...(he had somehow injured himself so the cops brought him in to be checked by a doctor....(cough cough, he injured himself) I noted when he was sitting on the side of the bed to be admitted, the hand cuffs were so tight circulation was being interfered with from his wrist to total hands. The cop took off one cuff and cuffed him to the side rail of the bed (perfectly normal with prisoners) I told the cop to loosen his handcuffs so circulation was not impaired...he growled at me..”I don't have to loosen anything””...I just looked him in the eye and said loosen them now or this will be reported in nurses notes that I requested to have them loosen to restore normal circulation and that you refused to do it....Cop was embarrassed and pissed but loosen the cuff to my satisfaction...When you know what your limits are always use them....he didn't want anything like that on the patience chart...Nurses notes are legal documents and if you make a mistake when charting...no white out is allowed. One line drawn through the mistake, dated, timed and initials....the cop knew that, or if he didn't he learned real quick not to have his name on any of my documation of the patients condition......GG
