“the limo was not involved in an accident prior to catching on fire”
Weird, so then why not just exit the car?
Weird that it happened while the limo was on a bridge too.
Maybe they were like that lady that called 911 because her electric locks didn’t work and she couldn’t get out of the car (didn’t know to pull the locks up manually)
Why didn’t the limo driver open the back door??

After an aircraft fire in the ‘60’s the FAA tried to determine why so many people died in their seats. The fire was slow to spread and everyone should have simply evacuated the plane. Turns out the synthetic materials, foams and plastics, formed cyanide gas when ignited. One whiff paralyzed the passengers and the simply sat there until they died. I’m fairly certain there are stringent fire safety codes for materials in your car or a plane. But a limo, probably not.
I’m guessing electric windows and locks.
