Africa Wins Again.
Tribalism fits poorly with collectivism, but Africans keep on trying.
Let ‘em starve.
Dumped on top of tribalism is communism, both in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia) under Marxist murderer Mugabe and under the ANC/CPSA in South Africa. Most of the leaders of the African National Congress were members of the Soviet-directed Communist Party of South Africa (SACP), once led by KGB operatives Joe Slovo and his wife Ruth Furst, among others (Johnny Makitini appeared to be a Soviet operative, Jacob Zuma, one named Oliver, and many others).
What they have done is to illegally seize land for “redistribution” of the wealth (where have we heard that recently?), seize companies, murder white farmers and heads of large corporations, and put in totally incompetent but ideologically psychopathic communists to ruin things.
South Africa exists today almost completely on the existing mining operations, plus some fishing and some agriculture (but the latter is being slowly eroded by the murders of white farm owners and the failure to put in educated black marxists or black farmers in general who are educated/experienced enough to run a complex operation today).
We saw the destruction of the farming systems in Zimbabwe and now the marxists in South Africa are copying that program but at a slower pace.
Tribalism has largely been squashed (on the surface), so the Masai, some Zulu, and other large ethnic tribes are coming under the red hand of the SACP/ANC. Whether they will fall completely under red control is a key question which could determine the future faith of South Africa.
Right now the future of South Africa looks grim unless a new, pro-freedom party of whites and blacks arises to confront and destroy the ANC/SACP.
Whatever happens in the future, it isn’t going to be pretty, or bloodless.
