Not too sure about that. We live in the middle of the good old United States and it seems as if everyone and their dog is on some sort of disability. Most of them tend to be white overweight males who somehow are able to hunt and fish despite their disabilities.
Most, if not all, recent immigrants are not eligible for disability payments, and most other benefits in The UK.
If we stopped paying benefits to everyone who was fit to earn their own way, the unemployment rate would be about 37%...
