I was a college student in May 1970.
I joined the national guard in May 1971.
Those were some strange days, indeed they were.

JFK’s assassination,Bobby Kennedy, Kent State,The Mob was running wild in NE Oh.

It was hard for me to sort it out. I am still sorting it out.

I graduated college in May 1970 & went into the Army. After Vietnam I joined the National Guard.

As Guardsmen we received regular civil disturbance training all through the 1970’s. Must have been a lesson from Kent State.
