Who could believe that even half of those who bother to vote could be convinced to vote against their own best interests, that of their children, and above all, that of their country?
Very soon, one-third of our population will essentially be foreigners, that is people who have no deep connection to the country. Another 15% and growing, live 100% on the dole. An élite 10% thinks they can manage a socialist government and achieve lasting power by playing these groups against a dwindling number of productive citizens.
It has always been the Achille's Heel of democracy that they can be granted that chance.
