Israel queries Google over Palestine page

Internet giant takes UN lead to do away with the description ‘Palestinian Territories’

Occupied Jerusalem: Israel on Friday questioned internet giant Google’s decision to replace the term ‘Palestinian Territories’ with ‘Palestine’ on the Palestinian www.google.ps page, after last year’s United Nations decision to award Palestine observer status.

“This change raises questions about the reasons behind this surprising involvement of what is basically a private internet company in international politics — and on the controversial side,” Israeli foreign ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor told AFP.

The change went into effect from May 1, Google spokesperson Nathan Tyler said in a statement.

“We’re changing the name ‘Palestinian Territories’ to ‘Palestine’ across our products. We consult a number of sources and authorities when naming countries. In this case, we are following the lead of the UN ... and other international organisations,” Tyler said.

There is no Palestine. There are no “palestinians”. The UN sucks. The “occupied territories” are Israel’s, presently “occupied” by Arabs.

What’s to query? Last year, one of their Execs was in Cairo prominently celebrating the ‘Arab Spring’, and the Muslim Brotherhood’s takeover of Egypt.... Seems par for the course to me .

All’s well. The Sand Savages are about to prove the wisdom in the old Indian saying “The monkey’s reach exceeds its grasp.”

Once the Palisimians are a nation, the next time they attack Israel, they can legally have war declared against them.

Which leads us to the new and revised version of that old Indian saying:
“The Palisimian’s reach exceeds its grasp.”

Why is it when someone gets rich they feel they have to remake the world in their image?

Bing is better anyway once you get used to it, thanks to Googles last fling at social engineering I took Google off.

Some corporations are getting too big and powerful. Some of them are banks, re-defined as too big to fail; regardless of what lawless behavior they have done: MOOTA.

Corporations are _children_ of the state; legal fictions. We’re rapidly approaching the point were the state cares more about its children, than actual citizens: this is why states are creating all kinds of new fictions, so they have more children; think: illegal immigrants, gay _marriage_ ...

“Fascism should rightly be called Corporatism, as it is the merger of corporate and government power.”
— Mussolini

“Corporations have been enthroned, and an era of corruption in high places will follow. The money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until the wealth is aggregated in the hands of a few, and the Republic is destroyed.”
— Abraham Lincoln

Dear Google: this is so offensive to any decent, honest person that we’ve just canceled 2 google accounts (and we normally don’t participate in consumer campaigns ). Please read a little history or just a little daily news and drop this quasi-approval for terrorist murders of innocent people. This smears your company in real shi -—er, sewage. And it makes googe stink like hell.

Jerusalem was the capital of Israel what, 2500 years ago? When the camel humpers were wandering about and pitching tents?
