I could never do it, but I used to believe it was a wiman’s choice. When the scales were on my eyes, no amount of horrific pictures, impassioned writing, or lecturing reached me. I tuned it all out. Did not want to believe that viable children were being killed. Thought it must be a ine in a million rarity. I focused on the wants and needs of the impoverished mother instead of those of the child. Only a grace-filled radical spiritual awakening snapped me out of it. Perhaps the prayers of someone like you. I agree 100% that the problem starts with the contraceptive mentality. But when you say that to people, it is like you are from a different planet. EVEN to many Catholics. How many big Catholic families do you see in church unless its a TLM? You have to reach people where they are, however you can.

The big Catholic family thing is of a different era. That culture, albeit a sprinkling of heroic families notwithstanding, is as long gone as Father O'Malley refereeing the CYO boxing championship.
But we live now, in the times where the majority of children are born out of wedlock,
pornography and sex ed in junior high is the norm, and under-30 somethings
are loosely attached to Christianity, when they are attached at all. The fact
remains: abortion murder is still murder, and must be exclaimed as such,
even when we are speaking with true charity and gentleness out of love for our lost brothers & sisters.
