This is crony capitalism at it's finest. The insurance companies are lobbying the Republican legislators hard on this one. This no-fault bill will be a nightmare if it passes. People pay premiums for full coverage in case of catastrophic accidents. If they put a cap on the pay-out, where will the patients go who need long-term care? They're going to put these people on MEDICAID, and YOU the taxpayer will be left holding the bag!

I have a daughter who suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2006 and if we'd had a cap on her medical bills, I shudder to think where she'd be right now.
