I think the Benghazi issue goes way beyond misleading the Country about what happened. I believe you are correct. All of the lies and stonewalling are more than a cover-up for not having adequate security at that compound.

Agreed. I believe we are witness to no less than the Islamist coup of the US, with its figurehead, foreign fighter usurping our top post. Our Congress and our elections have been bought.

There were some rumors to the effect that the ambassador was supposed to be “captured” or the embassy compound held under siege, and then the captors would demand the release of some jihadist in exchange for letting the ambassador go free. That’s why they were told to stand down. But the Navy seals fought back and killed a bunch of them, so the deal went out the window. I haven’t heard any more about that theory lately. Sorry I don’t remember the name of the guy that was supposed to be the jihadi
