Of course, the majority of Muslim immigrants do not want to kill us, but they are not the Muslims we have to worry about. The problem is we have no way of distinguishing the Muslims we do have to worry about from the ones we don't. And we can't watch them all.

Another reason to do what the author is saying is that wars are fought on tactical, strategic, and psychological battlefields. The all important psychological is being ignored. We must do something in which the damage accrues to all Muslims, yes, even the bystanders. If you are a Muslim, and you're not actively and vocally opposing the jihadis in your midst, you're an abettor, and consequences should accrue to you.
