Sens. Rand Paul (R-KY), Mike Lee (R-UT) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) now each appear to be positioning themselves in the fight against the push for the Gang of Eight immigration bill in much the same way the Senates Tea Party triumvirate knocked down the lefts push for new gun control legislation.

I believe that any real comprehensive immigration reform must implement strong national security protections, Paul wrote to Reid. The facts emerging in the Boston Marathon bombing have exposed a weakness in our current system. If we don't use this debate as an opportunity to fix flaws in our current system, flaws made even more evident last week, then we will not be doing our jobs.
We should not proceed until we understand the specific failures of our immigration system, Paul added. Why did the current system allow two individuals to immigrate to the United States from the Chechen Republic in Russia, an area known as a hotbed of Islamic extremism, who then committed acts of terrorism? Were there any safeguards? Could this have been prevented? Does the immigration reform before us address this?
In a recent Washington Times op-ed, too, Paul wrote that he is committed to immigration reform that will secure the border, secure the vote and secure the taxpayers money from the welfare state.
Then, during an interview with the Fox News Channels Sean Hannity on his radio program last Wednesday, Hannity, with regard to the Gang of Eight border security provisions, told Paul: I have zero faith it will be done and done right.
I couldnt agree with you more, Paul answered.
Paul has argued that the Gang of Eight plan does not include any provisions like Motor Voter reform that would secure the vote.

I said maybe.
If Rubio is really running he wants to play both sides, Republicans and Hispanics against Dems.
Its a tricky game Rube is trying.
In contrast Rand avoided the bill and just praised Hispanics with sweet talk.
What's to learn?....we are ‘expected’ to live with the fact we are now getting what all other nations do with terrorists....no skin off politicians noses...
The real question is how much longer is it going to take true Americans to realize there is nothing out of Washington that is going to change this invasion of our country. ...
...it will remain a “Conveyor Belt” in and out of this country for foreigners, legal and otherwise, with Washington's support, Our Educational Institutes support, Our TSA support, and many others assisting.... and this no matter who is in office there.
So Cruz and Rand are agoinst this Amnesty?
I think I found who i want for prez in 2016 cruz then rand
“If Cruz or Lee or both filibuster this....they are the front runners in 2016”
There is tremendous pressure to go along, so if they can do this it will prove their mettle, imo.
This is the kind of new blood we need now.
Jeez, I'd love to vote in the Mexican elections...Mexicans vote in ours!!!
I thought Paul was part of the “let the entire world roam free in the 50 states” crowd?
If WE don’t demand changes-—the pols carry on, as usual——nothng will happen.
This is not true since the last amnesty was passed in 1986. My math calculations indicates that was 27 years ago. Of course many changes need to happen but if 100 percent security is implemented, there will be zero commerce. No commerce means no business, then no money, and then we can be so secure that the country goes completely broke. That is not an option.
“We need names so Americans can prosecute and imprison latino lobbyists who wrote the Schumer-Rubio “immigration reform” bill atrocity. “
Amen!
