The UK Independence Party has overtaken the Liberal Democrats as the third party of British politics, Nigel Farage declared today as he made major gains in local elections.
He said his party was on course to make big gains, despite being 'abused' by the political establishment, including claims they were 'clowns' and racists'

The strong showing in this year's local elections means that UKIP will have strong credibility going into the
2014 European Parliament election next May. UKIP has 13 out of UK's 73 seats in the EU parliament (with the Conservative party having the most seats at 26). A strong showing in 2014 will set the stage for the 2015 national elections.

Very interesting.
US politics would be far more interesting if had more than one political party. As it is, US politics is just depressing.
