When I went to school there was one black family in the district. The teachers taught those kids as they would any student.

If they want to better understand minority students then they can go pick up some RAP CDs.
The greatest achievements of a society are the achievements of its greatest. We should be investing in our best and brightest.
And to think people actually pay thousands of dollars, go into debt, for people to do this to their kids.
The actual privilege(s) enjoyed by many children that allows them to get ahead throughout life are:
Two parent, stable home and family
Lifelong commitment to education and work
Clean, neat, well kept appearance.
So why won't don't our ‘educators’ want mention these privileges?
Because kids that grow up with them have success throughout their life - NO MATTER WHAT THEIR SKIN COLOR IS!

There may or may not be a few areas where being White helps, but in ANY major city, most schools and nearly all government jobs, “minority” gets you a some real special jobs, freebies and the front of the line.
