Sharon Angle did not ‘self-destruct’. She was a good conservative facing an uphill battle. Do you think some mealy mouthed Republican would have defeated Reid? The man has the most effective GOTV network there is with the culinary unions.
Akin was NOT the ‘conservative’ choice. He was up to his eyeballs in earmarks, and was backed by McCatskull in the primary!
O’Donnell, again, was in an uphill battle. Do you realize how blue that state is? She was a strong conservative against the UNACCEPTABLE abortionist Castle. She made some stupid comment about witches years ago, and responded badly when it was brought up, but in the end, she was unlikely to win in the first place.

Sanford won his primary because he’s a good salesman. I wouldn’t have voted for him, but the people of that district made a judgement call. He hasn’t lost yet either, so I’m not sure why you’re complaining now.

The RNC, Rove, Priebus, are corrupt low-lifes. They backed Crist. You trust them to decide which candidates “can win”? Well, you just remember Rehberg, McMahon, Allen, and Berg. These people are idiots. WE won the House in 2010. All Karl Rove has done is lose us the presidency TWICE.

There were better conservatives in the primary than Angle. She was certainly prefereable to Reid, but far from impressive.

Leading into that election, Reid was the most unpopular Senator in the nation. The MOST unpopular. He was considered one of the most vulnerable Senators up for election. The ONLY reason he won is because we nominated Angle. Every political analyst knew Angle was the candidate Reid wanted to win the GOP nomination in 2010 Nevada, just like people who understood the situation knew Akin was the candidate Claire wanted to win the GOP nomination in 2012 Missouri.

Akin was NOT the ‘conservative’ choice

No, he was the socon choice from the Huckabee wing of the party. We'd have won that seat had the Tea Party candidate, Sarah Steelman, won the nomination.

but the people of that district made a judgement call.

Yes, a bad one (and one that can't be blamed on the "establishment"). Which was the point of my comments. Republican primary voters are throwing away too many seats on terrible candidates. I am not finger pointing at any single group, I am saying we need to be nominating the most conservative candidate that CAN actually win.

I beg to differ. my wife is from one of the major business families in Las Vegas so although we live in CA, we do know what’s going on in Nevada. I actually contacted Bill Raggio, a then Republican Senator from Reno. According to him, Angle was a disaster as a legislator. She fought with everyone and had no support from the Party in Nevada. Then there was the (Akin issue) with her in that every time she opened her mouth, she stuck her foot all the way down to her a$$. Reid’s son lost the governor’s race by a landslide. You don’t think that the same union cabal that got Reid elected wasn’t working for Rory? The truth is that Rory had a good opponent and Harry didn’t. My guess is that either of Sharron’s opponents would have beaten Reid, but didn’t get the chance thanks to the Tea Party in this instance.
