Could also besides Armenian (the suffix ian in the surname is a very common Armenian patronym, i.e. "from" or "out of" like "von" in German and "van" in Dutch) be a Persian name or from an odd and coincidental assortment of other nationalities (Irish, for example). But it's commonly Armenian and not at all Arab. That being said, there are Armenian communities in some Arab countries, Syria and Lebanon for example. But they're an ethnic and religious (Christian) minority, as they are in Turkey, Iran, etc.
