And WRT the gay basketball player, I’ve never seen a more embarrassing performance by the media. Our local paper had a front page story, a front page sports column and an editorial cartoon comparing Campbell to Jackie Robinson, for crying out loud.

I’m embarrassed for the profession of journalism.

One sportswriter I follow on Twitter who posted a link to his column obviously praising the gay player did acknowledge when I challenged him that I was entitled to a different opinion on homosexuality. Big of him.
