Modern Journalism 101, Rule #1: “No paragraph should be longer than one sentence.”
Drives me nuts. Speaking of the 50s, whatever happened to the quaint notion of a “topic sentence,” framing a coherent thought in a paragraph, and providing a smooth transition to the next paragraph?
