I know dozens of black doctors and nurses well - they don’t want any part of the modern urban black culture either.
This cannot be repeated enough.
That is same song and dance we have been hearing for decades.
I know blacks that don’t fit the mold either. However while not 100% the same, race and culture are far from being mutually exclusive.
You are right . It is the glamorizing of the urban culture- that is the problem. I left a church, I had attended and served at for years- because the youth group turned into a “willowcreek style” urbanization and rap culture for middle schoolers. It was just filthy and people are hypnotized by it. Upper middle class white kids- throwing gang signs at church!
