Not to mention our sovereignty. Consider this:
In a recent survey, 35% of Mexicans say they'd immigrate to the US if they could. Twenty percent were willing to violate the law to do it. (And still we don't secure the border.)
In 2005, 1 in 8 Mexican adults were already living in the US. Two thirds said friends and family would be interested in a temporary guest worker program (so we lure 'em with welfare instead).
Is this not a surrender of our sovereignty? These stats are just for Mexico! I think the true number of illegals is much higher than the 11 million figure being bandied about.
When Bush was President, the left used 40 to 45 million... after Katrina and their influx to the South... I tend to agree with that figure. When the money dried up... most of them left... the same thing will happen nationwide if we cut off their perks and stop them from working by jailing those that hire illegals.
