That's the most interesting thing about these threads: you can come along and observe that Bush was not the worst President you've seen in your lifetime, and some True Believer will argue that you're claiming that nothing is Bush's fault. Then, they turn to their pet issue, but can't find a President to their liking (if you ask).

He's like the GOP equiv of Carter in some ways and in others he's the GOP equiv of LBJ.

Like Carter he left a bunch of big messes behind and both being distrusted by most Americans at the ends of their terms, but like Johnson he signed us up for wars and new entitlements and tried the civil rights (amnesty) play but failed at it unlike Johnson.

Those two Dems were oone termers but GWB second term was a nightmare.
