I smiled about you being bad in bed is a fallacy. Good for you. Seriously though, my conservative sister worked for the battered women’s shelter in the early 90s. She said men would call in with similar stories and the women that worked there really could not tell them where they could get help. There needs to be battered men’s shelters too.
I worked at a battered women’s shelter in college, mostly working in the back doing receiving and stocking shelves, occasionally cooking, and I can definitely understand how women should be protected from overbearing, violent men. If anything, it made me appreciate my size and my upbringing to respect women.
There is, however, a sizable contingent of men who are abused, and it doesn’t even have to be physical. Mental and psychological abuse is quite popular among some men I know from AA, mostly because they were too emotionally weak to leave them and they used sex as a weapon. Men can be victims too.
