The thought has occurred to me, too.
Jason Collins is a career back-up. He's always worked on a one-year deal. He'll be 37 next season...and may not draw flies.
But, now....
The NBA doesn't dare let him go into next season without a contract. And there just might be some endorsement and appearance money out there now that never would've come his way...
In fact, I'd like to think that Jason Collins figured out an innovative way to game the liberal system while a.) extending his career b.) picking up some extra cash on the side.

Proof. We need proof of the claimed sexual orientation. Until his sex partners come forward and attest that he engaged in sex with them this is just a publicity stunt. Proof.
