Report: Cuomo won't run against Clinton in 2016

Despite widespread speculation he's been eying the job, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo told associates he won't run for president if former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton does, according to the New York Post.

Cuomo, New York's first-term Democratic governor and the son of former Gov. Mario Cuomo, would face a steep challenge in mounting a nomination bid against Clinton, who has a wide and readily accessible base of support, and who also has strong ties within New York political circles.

"The governor has told people in recent weeks that there's not a chance for him to run if Hillary gets in the race because she'll easily wrap up the Democratic nomination,'' a Cuomo administration insider told the Post. "He knows that and he accepts that, and so he won't even be thinking at all in those terms -- unless Hillary decides not to run, which seems unlikely."

Clinton has declined to make clear her political intentions going forward, and faces little pressure to make a decision anytime soon. But her advocates - including a super PAC aimed at backing her in a 2016 bid - are already ginning up support on her behalf.

So far, few appear poised to match her popularity: A slew of recent polls have shown Clinton topping Democrats and Republicans alike, including a recent University of New Hampshire poll showing the former secretary of state leading other top Democratic prospective candidates by an overwhelming margin, with Clinton at 61 percent and Vice President Joe Biden's trailing her with seven percent. Cuomo came in behind Biden.

All bow to Queen Hillary the First!

The Repubs will have to nominate a woman. Can you think of one?

I can!

Sorry for the people of NY for having to choose between these two scums. Actually, he is just stating the obvious which is he would have no chance against the hag’s machine. What a place, Shumer, Clinton, Weiner, Rangle, and a host of other less luminaries.

Does it really matter who that party nominates????? They are all the same in terms of their radical Left ideology. There are no conservatives or moderates left in the Dem Party...certainly not at the presidential level.

It doesn't matter if Gosnell runs as a Democrat for President; the D will win with ALL the Parasite Votes (illegals with Amnesty, Blacks, Women who are like Sandra Fluke, etc.)

The "Government gonna take care o' me" crowd coupled with Fraud, make ANY R candidate a non-starter.

Count on it.

Perhaps the word hasn't reached New Jersey yet, Driver, but Cuomo is an idiot. Nowhere is this more apparent than on TV.
The brain thing in that family stopped with Mario. He became governor of the state because of the "Urban vote" and his opponent was a rube.

If this guy makes it onto a national ticket in the US, it is a sign of the Apocalypse. He's really quite a dummy, with an unfortunate physical resemblance to the "Hulk." He was married to a Kennedy somehow, but now cohabits with another woman.

He is single-handedly preventing New York State from exploiting tremendous natural gas resources. In truth, this guy should be governor of NYS from Poughkeepsie to Manhattan and let the rest of NYS dump its infested Third World SE territory re-join America.

I'll be made President before Andrew "No One Needs 10 Bullets To Kill A Deer!!" Cuomo.

Hillary will be 69 in November 2016 and her health problems are no doubt worse than they are letting on.

As the field begins to clear for the Hildebeast. They’ll spend this year forewarning democrats... in 2016, they’ll sweep the repubs aside with an array of false stories and narratives.

To outdo the Democrats, the Republicans will have to nominate a candidate who is both a Woman AND a black! Ha! Let's see the Democrats beat that!!!

What the hell is it with NY politicians bending over for Hillary? I remember way back in 2000 when then Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan declined to run. His obvious successor was congresswoman Nita Lowey. Then Clinton piped up that SHE wanted to run. Boom! Nita Lowey was gone like a popped soap bubble. Now, with three years until the next presidential campaign, Cuomo is already folding at the mere mention of Clinton’s name. Who the eff are these Clintons? It’s got to be money. Got to be money.

I pray that we are spared any more Clintons, and any more Bushes.

Well, I read on Drudge, this morning that there are going to be more Benghazi hearings, with testimony from those who were there, questioning what really happened, why security was so lax, why help never came, and whether Susan Rice lied or was just horribly uninformed.

Hillary won’t like the hearings. She will probably have another mysterious illness that precludes her testimony.

True... she'll cake-walk to victory. Remember, this is New America.. The Repubs could field the Pope as their nominee and would still lose. This country, with its entitlement, pro-abortion, pro-homo, anti-capitalist, anti-Christian thinking, isn't going to elect another GOPer to the White House. That train has come and gone.

Years ago, that would've mattered, but it doesn't now. She's seen as a goddess in New America.

As for Benghazi, the "what really happened" and "why was security so lax" questions will be swatted away with a dismissive, "Republicans didn't pass tax increases, so it's their fault" response. And the sheeple will lap it up eagerly.

“... her health problems are no doubt worse than they are letting on.”

Not being sarcastic or snide: She doesn’t look healthy and has aged 10 years in appearance during the past 5. There appears to be something seriously wrong with her health and the public isn’t being told.

For all her millions she seems incapable of improving her slovenly appearance.

She’s a hot mess now. Four years aren’t’ going to make her any younger, fitter or neater.

The question I have is does the Dem party get anywhere near the same black turnout without a black candidate?
