“Now he’s just being stupid. If they didn’t vote for it the first time, they’re not going to buy it the second time. “
West Virginia is a conservative pro gun state. Manchin got himself elected by posing as a “different kind of Democrat”, conservative, pro gun, etc. well, it appears to me he is now outed. I’m hoping the good citizens of WV see it that way too and get him out in his next primary.
Sure is a tired old story, isn't it...
Here in East Virginia, that's how the reprehensible, invisible Mark Warner was elected in 2008, as a "different kind of democrat... an 'independent voice.'" In reality, he's one of Obama's most loyal and adoring lapdogs. Ditto for Tim Kaine and the turdball he replaced, Jim Webb.
Unfortunately that’s a ways away yet. So, if the progs/Radical Left Wing Extremist Demokkkrat Scumbag Socialists are really serious, quit the BS discussion, since infringed means you don’t touch it, and propose an amendment to the constitution that would basically make the 2nd amendment null and void. No more BS about “assault rifles”, no more stupid statements about “high capacity clips”, no more “high powered weapons” crap. That way, if they can actually get the required votes to sustain the amendment, then it’s over and done with. No more incremental chewing away at something they aren’t supposed to mess with. When it’s rejected, as it should be, then they(RLWEDSS) forever would be disallowed from attempting any further infringement. When it goes down to a defeat, little lord fontleroy (aka king hussein) could have another petulant temper tantrum like a spoiled 3yr old who’s never been told “no” or because he didn’t get his way. Sack up progs and propose it. Let’s settle this once and for all.
He doesn't face re-election til 2016. He's hoping people will forget by then.
I hope so to. However, Joe has five years to suck up to the voters. West Virginians tend to stick with an elected politician unless there’s a hint of corruption. Mollohan brought a lot of money to the state. When questions came up about some of his investments, he was a goner. Joe isn’t that stupid. The other side of the coin is the Republicans always pick the most lackluster, unexciting candidates possible. And rich ones to boot. Rich and inspiring is OK. Rich and dull is not.
