No bacon?
Three eggs sunnyside up, hash browns scattered, covered and smothered, double order of bacon, toast, a short stack of pancakes, coffee, and a glass of orange juice. Oh, make that whole wheat toast... I’m trying to watch my cholesterol.
Right!!! I have to show these blokes how to make a proper gimlet. I’ll pass on that recipe to them and tell them to make it like that for me. It’ll be my special treat. Call it “Janey’s Jyn” .... :D
Hash browns covered and smothered. You speak-a my language. Only I usually say smothered and covered. Must be regional.

Was this the same research that says red meat does effectively the same thing? I guess that’s why vegans are so healthy, not! Having some egg and bacon this morning and steak later, if I never post again, you will know they are right. This is the same academic strata that pushes global warming, so I think they are pushing an agenda instead of real science.
Oh pooh! My dad had bacon and eggs everyday of his adult life. He lived to be 84 and was healty, active and mentally sharp until he died (in his sleep).
The Chex I had for breakfast have been weighed, they have been measured, and they have been found wanting...
THAT will be the name it c arries hereafter, “Janey’s Jyn” ... perfect!
I can now admit...
I’ve had breakfast on my mind since reading this thread. So, the wife, kid and I hit IHOP last night. Wife did a fancy omelet, kid did a chicken-fried steak dinner...
I ordered two (2) of the IHOP $4.99 daily specials which resulted in: 4 eggs, 2 orders of hash browns, bacon and sausage links, toast and pancakes. I left IHOP full.
(Note... kitchen is currently gutted for a remodel which means we eat out a lot.)
Breakfast is my favorite meal. Suffice it to say that I can only “indulge” on occasion, so when I do - I load up! Of course I end up taking home a doggie bag and have the rest for dinner.
I used to like the Friendlies in my hometown for breakfast, then they quit offering the Belgium waffles :(. They used to have the BEST waffles there.......ah, memories.
I feel like I’m getting fatter just thinking about breakfast.
