In an editorial lamenting a new Virginia state regulation requiring abortion clinics to comply with higher licensing standards, the Washington Post quoted one abortion-clinic owner who noted that he can do such things as "stick needles in babies' lungs" and "put tubes up penises," but now he is going to have to deal with the "nonsensical" demands of Virginia's regulation.
"Some of the clinics, including those operated by Planned Parenthood, which has a national fundraising network, will survive," said the Post. "Many others, which are run as small businesses, probably will not."
The Post pointed to a quote from Dr. David Peters, a Virginia abortion clinic owner, that was published in The Virginian-Pilot.
"I can do plastic surgery. I can stick needles in babies' lungs. I can put tubes up penises and into bladders, and do all sorts of crazy stuff in my office with no regulations whatsoever. No government supervision," Dr. David Peters, who owns the Tidewater Women's Health Clinic in Norfolk, Va. "But for an abortion, I've got to have the sterile room--the size of the building matters--so, it just becomes nonsensical."
The Post editorial lamented that another Norfolk, Va., abortion provider, the Hillcrest Clinic, closed its doors last week after 40 years of aborting babies in the state rather than comply with Virginia's regulation.
"Hillcrest performed more than 1,600 abortions last year, about 7 percent of the state total," the Post said.
The Post editorial argued that the new Virginia regulations on abortion clinics are an example of big government run amok.
"Whats more, the upgrades they face are arbitrary manifestations of the states overweening power," said the Post.
The 1,600-plus abortions that the now closed Hillcrest abortion clinic did last year equaled more than four abortions a day.
Having closed, the clinic aborted no babies yesterday.
The guy is addicted to blood money. Bet he surfaces up somewhere else.
It would be a damn shame if some day, someone shoves a tire iron into this psychopath’s lungs.
While I despise many government regulations, if that's what it takes to stop infanticide (rather than laws protecting the unborn) I will glady support even more regulation.
The gall of those fascist Virginians, placing tighter restrictions on this poor man when he kills infants rather than providing medical treatment. Why, there ought to be a law. /s
Hope when he at last goes to prison that the cons “put tubes up” his “p....” and elsewhere repeatedly.
Somewhere really, really hot?
But that’s one of the ironies, these types love more government regulation for everyone else, including other businesses (even more especially the types which don’t deal with the life and death of humans).
I wouldn’t want to go to a doctor who thinks cleanliness is too much to ask. My vet is better than that.
Planned Parenthood, which has a national fundraising network, will survive.
And the dems will make sure of that.
Evil of the utmost kind, to protest because they have to be a mite more scrupulous in how they murder babies. I really believe that if some of these people hadn’t made “successful” careers in killing babies, their alternate path in life could have been to be serial killers of the most gruesomely tortuous kind. But fortunately for them, America has sanctioned and even allows them to earn pay for getting their sick thrills in murdering babies in the most gruesome ways. If they did these things to grown women whom they had to first kidnap, they’d be seen for what they are-sociopathic killers.
And just look at the way they word their actions, when normally words and phrasing mean so much to the left-”I can stick needles in babies lungs”. That’s just a flatly insensitive way to word this procedure, unless he’s lived in a bubble of acceptance of the torturous murder of babies for so long that he longer realises how much he sounds like Mengele.
Demonic influence right there
These abortionists are no different than the Nazi SS. They have altered their conscience to actually believe that the killing of innocent human life is acceptable and is good. They are quite capable of rationalizing any behavior or atrocity. The vile Obama is of the same ilk. These people can never be trusted.
Remember obama loves these people, the whole sale destruction of life.......planned parenthood - their sacrament.
Wow...just Wow...Jaw dropping wow...
Making abortion mills comply with overbearing regulations is a bad thing, but overbearing government regulations on everybody else is okey dokey...
Does the editorial board have no shame at all..???
From the first day of Rove v Wade til last night at midnight:
14,706 days or 40 years, 3 months, 6 days
At 3,900 abortions per day = 57,353,400 abortions
They are all Gosnells. Every last one of them.
But I don't think he was saying what you think he was saying. He was saying that he did all kinds of procedures without regulation (not true, BTW, although he may think that!), yet he was required to meet all kinds of regulation when the procedure was abortion.
In ERs, they stick needles into baby's lungs not to kill them, but to draw out fluid. ETC. etc.
But maybe that's not an important distinction. But I do think it's important to think clearly about what is going on here.
The Doctors the Obama clan want in the prisons are the M.D. specialists that forget to dot their i’s and cross their t’s on medicare forms. Lock up the true, 10 year schooled, life saving doctors and let the culture of death abortionist free.
