If my daughter had a 17-year-old boyfriend whom I didn’t know, and I found him - that is, an unidentified adult male - hiding in my closet at night, I don’t think I would feel too badly about stabbing what I legitimately believed was a dangerous intruder.
I’d be sad that he died, I guess, although that depends on what else I learned about him.
You act this way, you’re taking your chances. This kid’s luck ran out.
I can understand thinking he was a criminal and defending yourself. Of all the places to hide, Tyrone did not pick a wise one. I guess this could be chalked up as a Darwin Award winner. My question was more towards the phrasing of the other posters “oh well” attitude towards killing your daughters boyfriend.
Sorry, my post #31 is for you not Yaelle. I thought you included him/her as they posted the one I replied to.
When I was an 18 year old sailor and my ship was in the Bethlehem Steel shipyard in Baltimore for a few months of upgrades, I met a cute young girl and took her out a couple of times (ice cream parlor, movies, visit to the ship). She took me home to meet her mom, older sister and mom’s boyfriend. We all got along nicely.
A couple of weeks later she let slip that she was THIRTEEN! Needless to say, I ended the relationship in self-defense!
