I’ve been tempted to put one of my Olympic 45lbs plates in my Med ALICE and do a few loops around the local park. Heavily wooded with a blacktop walking path. Outer loop is just under two miles.

Just jogging around in circles gets boring. ;-)

I’ve done weight training with plate vests. It’s very useful, and you see results pretty quick.
