So, bottom line, one could argue that unless the gun-control community increases its core number of serious activists, it shouldnt expect to see any real change in Washington no matter how many times Congress votes on gun control legislation.
Your thoughts?

"We're going to hammer guns on the anvil of relentless legislative strategy! We're going to beat guns into submission!" Chuck Schumer.

No wonder the red state democrat's like Baucus are just giving up and retiring, it's starting to look like the democrats are actually dumb enough to try to run on gun control in 2014, essentially handing every rural red state seat that is up, to the Republican’s...

I think we need a few new senators, promptly, say about 90 or so.

They won’t vote on it again.
Senators and Congressman already made their decision. If they vote on it again, it’ll be CLOSER to the 2014 elections.
As we get closer to the elections.. controversial votes like that will become less and less. It’s right after elections when we have to worry.

Arizonans should drag this Socialist-sympathizer out of office by his heel.

I heard a propaganda commercial on a Boston station this week pushing increased background checks.
Obama's campaign staff is actively pushing this.
I want to know when America is going to be done with Schumer and McCain, along with Durbin, Pelosi and Howyer?

McCain must have been brainwashed in the Hanoi Hilton. He is anti-American to the core now and Arizonans should be more than ashamed for reelecting him.

Yes, the vaudeville hook should have pulled McCain off the stage long ago.

They’re probably strong-arming the senators that voted for it as we speak. Max Baucus has already decided to retire probably due to such pressure and they may say to him, “you’re leaving anyway so give us a vote!” or he may say “I’m leaving anyway so I don’t owe you crap!” Pryor and Begich will be heavily pressured and McCain will go to work on moderate or retiring republicans to go along with his democratic socialist schemes. These people never stop.

More time....pressure =
(?) time to buy or threaten (families)
candy or club.....etc.

How about gun control for the paramilitary police?

They will vote till they get a ban.
That is the end goal. They are very much afraid of the non elite. Both parties are. They fear us much more than muslims or terrorists of any kind.
The big city groups fear the rural people as well. City people think we are all racist, sexist, homophobes who need to be eliminated or reeducated in order for them to feel safe.
Make no mistake, they will keep voting till they get what the want. Or till the powers just do it without a vote.

The ever affable hairy screed will bring it back up. That’s why he voted no last week. Gives them more time to do some arm twisting to get the yes votes lined up then bring it back in the dead of night on a Friday when nobody is paying attention. Hopefully Cruz and Paul are paying attention and keeping their feelers out for a heads up. After all,90% of the citizens want more gun control. Except for the 54% that don’t. Then again, why are we even discussing a right that is protected by the constitution? I know, rhetorical.
